New York City, Manhattan, Chinatown, Winter, Snow

I’ve amassed a large amount of photos over the years that have for better or worse remained on hard drives rather than public domain.  So occasionally, I will look back and post a photograph of New York on this blog.  After all, it is named New York City to Tokyo. I hope you enjoy.

This particular photograph was taken in winter 2008 at Columbus Park in Manhattan’s Chinatown.  During the summer, Columbus Park is filled to the brim with Chinese card and checker game players as well as musicians, exercise enthusiasts practicing tai-chi, lunch-time gobblers, and people watchers sharing stories while gazing at life unfolding. To the contrary, during the winter months, Columbus Park is a strange, desolate hole in an otherwise busy, hard-working, beautiful neighborhood.
